I was just checking the website to see what "Monster" was up to, and I saw your film! How touching! I cried! I think everybody can relate--plays with your heartstrings, same effect as the line in "Puff the Magic Dragon" "Dragons live forever, but not so little boys...." Really good job! Good luck with "Monster", too! I can hardly wait to see it! Look back fondly on working last summer on "Monster", but don't miss the 113 degree heat! God bless! What a beautiful little movie! SO moving! Poor little bear! He knows his days are numbered! I so completely can relate to this film. When I was a kid, starting to leave early childhood, I bcame very, very concerned for the feelings of my little bunnies and bears and, yes, dolls, that I was leaving behind. I had them anthropomorphized (sp ?) in my head and I worried so much about hurting their feelings and about whether they'd be lonely when I went away and did grownup kid things. I pictured them sitting and waiting patiently for me to return and take up the strands of our friendship where we'd left off and it made me very sad to know that that would never happen. And here you've gone and made a beautiful movie about all that! What a champ you are! All best, Tom Danny!

It has been a name I lived with for three years. But at the end of the day, the movie has changed a lot since we shot it one year ago, and even more since we wrote it three years ago.
