We were fortunate enough to be interviewed by The Wasatch Journal after our panel at Sundance 2008. A quarterly publication, our article has appeared in the Summer 2008 issue and can be viewed via an online interactive flash link by clicking “Go” in the “Read our current Issue” box. Maddie’s Movie Opens Tomorrow!

Huge in Norway!

Our music composer, Kristin Øhrn Dyrud, arrived back in her home country of Norway yesterday to find a nice little write up in the local paper. The article talks about Kristin’s career as a film composer and her work on our film! See the small picture below for a sample. We will try to get the text from the magazine and translate it for the blog readers rusty on their Norwegian Bokmål.

Madison Davenport in Humboldt County

Our lead actress Madison Davenport’s new indie film Humboldt County premiered at South by Southwest and was met with overwhelming support.

Danny Jacobs and Darren Grodsky’s “Humboldt County” clearly struck a chord with festival attendees at SXSW this week. The film not only sold out all three fest screenings, but at the final two showings at the Alamo Lamar, organizers added a simultaneous second screening to accomodate the large crowds who turned up. The Alamo folks asked to book the film for a theatrical run next week, according to rep David Garber, but the “Humboldt” team decided to hold off on the booking to pursue a theatrical deal for the movie. Garber said that acquisitions screenings will be held in NY and LA next week. [Eugene Hernandez, Indirewire]
